At Shotley we offer a safe and nurturing environment enriched with independency, risk taking and resilience.

Our curriculum provides the opportunity for all children to thrive within a balance of structure and play based learning. We endeavour to promote resilience, independence and a real sense of belonging for all children by ensuring each child’s views, experiences and ideas are heard, respected and valued. We pride ourselves on supporting everyone’s emotional regulation and wellbeing needs as we embed this into the heart of all we do, discussing and exploring our feelings through a wide range of daily activities and resources. We also have great connections within our community which gives each child the tools to gain and further their life experiences.

Each child is allocated a nurturing and experienced key person, this allows us to plan specifically for every child’s learning and development. It also supports us to really bond with and know each child and their family ensuring we gain the best possible parent/carer partnerships.

Alongside our Pre School provision, we offer a Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club for children aged 2 to 11 years, including collection from Shotley Primary School at 3:15pm.
